As part of an extensive redesign for Inapub’s digital offering (see customer portal and app), I designed their current news website. The project was two fold: creating a new website structure and look and feel; with an easy to use back end editor.
First I ran a workshop with the news team to learn more about the site’s needs and their expectations. I then considered the sales team’s requirements (offer attractive advertising opportunities). I reviewed competitors’ sites and popular news sites’ case studies, to ensure new design will be attractive and contemporary. Navigation should be intuitive, allowing readers to find articles on every platform.
I was in charge of the entire design process from concept, information architecture, wireframes and UI design. I worked closely with the development team to ensure the editors’ posting interface was maximised yet simple to use.
As the news section was the last piece of Inapub’s full digital offering, I updated their global header to ensure both readers and customers can navigate the entire site smoothly on any device.
